The Words and Photographs of Dan Powell

Some images from the school’s Mamiya RB67, “scanned” with an enlarger head and my digital camera. It took approximately forever to get rid of all the dust in Photoshop.

And a couple 35mm shots..

  2. I’m the AT thru-hiker in the middle! All of your images are very well composed! I remember you have a carl-ziess lens. Which one? Is it a 1.4 aperature?

    • Yes, it’s the 50mm f/1.4. Actually disappointingly soft wide open.. I usually have to shoot at f/2 or something, which is not ideal. It works though, and it can make some gorgeous images despite the softness.
