The Words and Photographs of Dan Powell

About Me

I’m a 21-year-old photographer, currently at college for Design + Mechanical Engineering.

My photographic experience: 5 years with a local newspaper, probably 15 or so weddings, 20+ high school yearbook portraits, and lots of personal work.

I make photos with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and prime lenses.
I also have a Kiev 88CM that I use once in a while.

I like to keep post-processing to a minimum because it’s less work and it makes me better at what I do.

I hope you like what you see. If you live around Vermont or feel like shipping me off to wherever it is you live to make you some photos, I’m usually available during the summer and would be very happy to work something out! If you’d like to order prints of any of my photographs I can do that as well, at any time. Leave a comment or send me an email. It’s nice to hear from people!

  1. I’m not sure how you found me, or why you think I’m worthy to be up on that list of great photographers, but – cheers, either way.

I’ll keep an eye on this blog.
